Through the years, I experienced progressively increasing neck and back pain, headaches, and nearly constant radiating symptoms into my upper extremity and face. I was desperate for relief from the pain, and a dear friend introduced me to Dr. Goffe out of concern. As a Physical Therapist, it is safe to say I was skeptical regarding Chiropractic care. However, my concerns were dismissed after meeting with Dr. Goffe, learning of his gentle adjustments utilizing the NUCCA technique, and beginning to experience symptom relief after many, many years of pain. The tingling and altered sensation in my arm and face have completely resolved, the pain along my spine has decreased significantly, and my overall health and energy level have also improved greatly!
My care went to the next level when I was introduced to the SoftWave technology! As a senior in high school, I underwent a right rotator cuff repair after repeated shoulder dislocations and initially recovered well. Over the next 20 years, however, I began to experience progressively increasing shoulder pain and range of motion limitations, as well as a sensation of instability within the joint. I was having trouble reaching behind my back, and my arm would even feel fatigued when I was fixing my hair or performing any overhead activities. I felt as though I might injure myself if I tried passing a baseball with my kids, and I was experiencing significant pain when lifting and carrying my little one. Following a round of SoftWave sessions, I have experienced the following: improved shoulder range of motion (even after my first session!!!), significantly decreased pain at rest, marked improvements in pain with lifting and carrying my youngest, and increased confidence / ability with overhead reaching and lifting. I’m even throwing a ball around in the yard with my boys again!
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Indianapolis is 2003, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Belmont University in 2006. I have been blessed to travel to different areas and work in multiple settings in the field of Physical Therapy, and I have always strived to be a skilled, hard-working, and compassionate provider, committed to effective and efficient patient-centered care.
Outside of work, I love to spend time making memories with family and friends. My husband also works in health care, and we are extremely blessed with three beautiful children. We are involved in our church, and thankful beyond measure for our church family.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the team at Vital Health Wellness Center, and I am excited for what the future holds!
